The tentative schedule is as follows:

Day 1. Meet and Greet from 5-6 pm at Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Dinner, overnight and breakfast on board the flight to Tel Aviv.

Day 2. Arrive at Tel Aviv. –Caesarea, one of the great cities of antiquity where Apostle Paul was imprisoned.  -Stella Maris, a Carmellite Church built over Elijah’s cave.  -Hanging Gardens of Haifa. -Muhraka, where Elijah battled the prophets of Baal. –Megiddo, the location of many ancient battles and the city referred to in the book of Revelation as ‘Armageddon’. –Nein, the place where Jesus raised the widow’s son from the dead. –Tiberias for dinner, overnight and breakfast overlooking the Sea of Galilee.

Day 3. -Mount of Beatitudes for devotions where Jesus preached the ‘Sermon on the Mount’.        –Capernaum, an ancient fishing village, the centre of Jesus’ ministry and where Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law. -Tabgha, the Church of Multiplication, is where Jesus fed the 5,000.       -Mensa Christa, where Jesus met with his disciples after the resurrection. -Primacy of Peter, where Jesus told Peter to ‘feed my lambs’. -Sea of Galilee boat tour, where Jesus walked on water and calmed a storm. –Tiberias for dinner, overnight and breakfast overlooking the Sea of Galilee.

Day 4. –Banias, onbanias2012a-650px-copyright[1]e of the main sources of the Jordan River in the shadow of Mount Hermon. –Caesarea Philippi, where Peter proclaims Jesus to be “Christ, the Messiah” and Jesus announces “Upon this rock I will build my church”. –Cana, visit the church where Jesus performed his first miracle by turning water into wine at a wedding. (Renewal of marriage vows optional.) –Nazareth, the city of Jesus’ childhood, including visits to the Church of Annunciation, Mary’s Well, Joseph’s Workshop, and the synagogue where Jesus spoke in Luke 4. -Mount of Transfiguration (Mount Tabor). –Tiberias for dinner, overnight and breakfast overlooking the Sea of Galilee.

Day 5. -Jordan Valley via Beit Shan near Mount Gilboa where King Saul and his sons were killed. -Jordan River where Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist.    -Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. –Ein Bokek, spa resort, for a Dead Sea float or swim, dinner, overnight and breakfast.

Day 6. -Mas20131215_135727ada, a fortress situated on an isolated cliff in the Judean Desert, ascend the cliff by cable car to the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations of King Herod’s palace, the synagogue and the bathhouse. Enjoy spectacular views of ruins of Roman camps and the Dead Sea. –Jericho, a visit to Elijah’s Spring (shop20131215_093242ping opportunity).                 -Mountain where Jesus was tempted after he fasted for forty days. -Sea Level. -Parable of the Good Samaritan. -Wadi Qelt, which is The Valley of the Shadow of Death. –Jerusalem/Bethlehem hotel for dinner, overnight and breakfast.

Day 7. Jerusalem The Temple Mount, ‘Mount Moria’. Yad Vashim, a Holocaust Museum (Optional). Ein Karim, birthplace of John the Baptist. Mary’s Spring.  Church of the Visitation (Mary & Elizabeth). Bethlehem (shopping bazaar). Church of Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus. Shepherd’s Field. Jerusalem Mount Zion, the Upper Room, the location of the Last Supper; King David’s Tomb; St Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Christ. –Jerusalem/Bethlehem hotel for dinner, overnight and breakfast.

Day 8. Jerusalem. –Mount of Olives. -Church of Ascension. -Paternoster the Lord’s Prayer, where Jesus taught his disciples to pray. -Bethany to visit the tomb of Lazarus. -Walk the traditional Palm Sunday route visiting Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept and predicted the destruction of Jerusalem. -Rock of Agony where Jesus wept and prayed. -Garden of Gethsemane with 2,000 year old olive trees that witnessed Christ’s betrayal, enjoy quiet reflection in the Church of All Nations. -Old City where we see the Western Wall and the Pool of Bethesda. -Via Dolorosa procession to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, have communion in the Garden Tomb. –Jerusalem/Bethlehem hotel for dinner, overnight and breakfast.

Day 9. –Egypt Option: Flight from Tel Aviv to Cairo, Egypt, for an eight hour visit of the city plus the Pyramids, the Sphinx, a perfume factory, the Mokatum mountain cave church and lunch on a Nile Riverboat cruise.  Flight to Johannesburg.

Turkey Option: Flight from Tel Aviv to Istanbul, Turkey, for an eight hour visit of the city including the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace and lunch on a Sea of Bosphorus cruise. Flight to Johannesburg.

Day 10. -Arrive at 7am at ORT International Airport in Johannesburg after a remarkable and unforgettable experience in the Holy Land. Dinner and breakfast served during the flight.
